For next month, we’ve chosen the Greg Mortenson books, “Three Cups of Tea” and “Stones Into Schools.” If you haven’t read “Three Cups,” you should begin with this one, because it explains how Mortenson began building schools in Pakistan in the 1990’s. “Stones” describes the expansion into Afghanistan after 9/11 and is riveting, also, but in a different way. It also includes maps which provide a better geographical “feel” for where this is taking place. We hope you’ll read at least one of these and join us on Monday, May 24, at 7:00 P.M. at the home of Lisa Mack at 846 Oak Street . You’ll enjoy the discussion and can help us choose what we read next!
